1. Visualise
This grounding exercise involves the visualisation of yourself as a tree. First remove your footwear and close your eyes. Next, visualise roots growing out from your feet.  Extend these roots into ground and feel them going all the way down to the centre of the earth. Relax and breath deeply for a few minutes.

2. Meditate
With breath meditation, you bring your awareness into the present. Hence, you are less in your head space and more in your body.  This how you can develop a strong sense of being. You don’t have to spend hours in meditation. In fact, just fifteen minutes a day is enough to expand your awareness. For grounding purposes, sitting on the floor, which puts your body in touch with Earth to meditate is a much better option to say sitting in a chair.

3. Move
Physical activity helps to clear any accumulated toxic energy. When you shift your energy from an overloaded mental focus to a physical one, you are able to clear away mental debris.  Getting physical puts you in touch with your body and following an exercise session you should experience a sense of wellness throughout.

5. Connect.
Going out to the seaside or just being in nature is a wonderful way to recharge your energy levels and give your mind a break.  While outdoors on the beach or in the park, consider removing your footwear. Experience the sensation of Mother Earth beneath the soles of your feet and enhance the experience by breathing deeply and being present in the moment.

6. Crystals.
Different crystals can help you ground in various ways. For instance, Obsidian is a volcanic rock, which is black and opaque. Its properties make it excellent for blocking energy this is helpful for people who are hypersensitive. Other grounding crystals include Black Tourmaline, Smoky Quartz or Jet.
