Marta has been practicing yoga for over ten years and has been teaching regularly for two. She has studied with several internationally recognised teachers, training with Sri Dharma Mittra in New York (LOAY 200 hrs), as well as in London (200hrs YogaLondon) and Bali (power yoga, vinyasa flow with Denise Payne YogaTM, Yoga Barn). Marta is also an accredited teacher of Yoga for children (age 2-12). Marta is currently studying for her Yin yoga and myofascial release accreditation with Denise Payne and is working towards her advanced yoga (500 hrs) and advanced anatomy certifications.
Marta started her career working as a political analyst, focusing on the political and economic democratisation of Eastern Europe and Asia. Her passion in finding practical solutions to help save the world led her to work in clean energy and environmental sustainability, winning awards for her role in promoting public support to climate resilience.
In her work and studies to minimise the physical and social impacts of climate change, she has written and taught about personal responsibilities and the links between the yamas and niyamas and sustainability. In this area, she has found eastern traditions of philosophy, medicine and spirituality best suited to finding solutions for healthy and sustainable living. Through her studies of yoga, eastern and western philosophy, spiritualism, Ayurveda, and anatomy, Marta aims at offering her students a path to integrate yoga across many aspects of life, on and off the mat.
Sharing the teaching of Sri Dharma Mittra, as well as senior Dharma and vinyasa teachers, Marta’s classes are both dynamic and meditative, concentrating on body awareness through the practice of classical yoga postures, linked through Vinyasa (the union of breath and movement), and on calming the mind through pranayama (breath work) and meditation.
Marta is very grateful to several teachers who have spent hours and dedication in the passing of knowldge, sharing their time and passion for a full and integrated vision of yoga.
Join Marta on Saturday’s from 14:00 – 15:30 for Dharma Mittra Vinyasa Yoga I-II (open level)
