Yoga introduction course will be held on Thursdays at 7.30pm. Starting on September 12th £60 for the full course. Led by Refinery founder Zoe, our 4-week Introduction to Yoga course is a fun and accessible program, designed to explore and learn the essential and fundamental aspects of yoga. The four 60 minute weekly sessions have been specially curated for those new to yoga and for anyone who is curious about the foundations of the yoga practice. The course will provide students with enough essential knowledge and understanding so that they leave with the confidence to join public yoga classes and to create a firm foundation to
build up a regular yoga practice.
Week one – we will cover a short history of yoga and an introduction to
vinyasa, asana and pranayama – linking breath and movement. We will look at
the elements of the sun salutations and move through them together.
Week two – We will begin class with a short look at Yamas and Niyamas,
then break down standing postures with Sanskrit names.
Week three – An introduction to chakras and energetic body followed by
a chakra led class looking particularly at seated postures.
Week four – Pulling together all the elements, we will move through a
full vinyasa flow class with a longer meditation at the end.
This is a small group course with a maximum of 16 students and is open to
all ages and all levels.
