Sunday 11th Rocket ONLINE with Miles
Miles has been around movement, health and yoga all of his life. Growing up with a mother who was a yoga teacher allowed him to be introduced to the practice and it’s philosophy from a young age. Although, it wasn’t until his early twenties that he began to dive deeper into the realms of yoga – when he moved from his hometown of Sydney, Australia to London, to pursue a career as a DJ. After spending 6 years running around London and Europe DJ’ing, throwing parties and running a record label, movement and yoga started to creep back into his life. ‘Going out’ or studio sessions began to take second place to yoga practice. Soon after he found himself training in Ashtanga Vinyasa in India and the rest as they say is history.
His lessons are intertwined with a deep love for the philosophy of yoga and the physiology of the human body, not only trying to develop his students physically but also mentally and energetically. Mile’s classes are strong and challenging, following lines of tradition but also bringing an element of play and exploration. You will work hard and leave feeling grounded and connected into your mind, body and spirit.
Rocket is Ashtanga’s naughty sibling. Created by Larry Schultz in the ’80s, Rocket combines the primary, secondary and third series of Ashtanga to make a more dynamic, strong, fun and fast-paced flow. Prepare to move and get upside down!
