Ooooff we love a resistance band here at the studio! They are amazing for creating long and lean looking muscles, but working against the band helps to create strength too. 🏋️
This got us thinking about mental resistance and self defeating chatter. This could include perfectionism, being self-critical, preoccupation with appearance, social withdrawal or perhaps an inability to accept compliments.
What are you resisting?
How much energy are you putting into it?
What good could you put this into instead?
What would happen if you were to stop the mind’s games that dull the goodness in you?!?
Things that help are practicing mindfulness so you improve your ability to respond instead of react.
Get out of your comfort zone – do something new.
Connect with friends and be kind to yourself.
Ask yourself how do I want to use the time that remains? ⏱️
