How many times do you make a resolution and it’s broken by the next day or a week later? You’ve got to want the change. If you’re not aware of why you want the change, just setting a resolution without intent is a sure fire way to fail.
Whatever you resist persists – meaning if you tell yourself you can’t have something it will become the forbidden fruit and it’s likely to become all you think about. Change comes about from a shift in consciousness or awareness. Get clear about what it is you want to change in your life. If it’s to be fitter, think about how that change would feel in your body and how that would affect your overall wellbeing. Rather than being focused on ‘I want a six pack’ think about building strength and resilience from the inside – we are much more likely to continue when we feel mentally strong and confident.
